More changes at the top for SFLY: CTO Satish Menon resigns

Satish Menon, CTO, Shutterfly

When Shutterfly Inc. goes under new ownership this fall, there will be a whole new look to the executive suite. According to the company’s most recent Form 8-K, longtime CTO and senior vice president Dr. Satish Menon notified the company Aug. 8 of his intention to resign effective Sept. 6, 2019. The filing stated Dr. Menon will stay on as a consultant through the remainder of the year, in exchange for a $500,000 lump sum.

Menon is the latest in a series of executives to depart. Earlier this year, CEO Christopher North announced intentions to resign to relocate back to his native England; Ryan O’Hara was named to succeed him.

Two of Shutterfly’s key business units – Shutterfly Consumer and Lifetouch – also named new leadership. Jim Hilt, a former executive at Express, now heads up Shutterfly Consumer and Greg Hintz was recently named head of Lifetouch. Mickey Mericlewas named the company’s CMO in October, 2018.
